Health & Safety Policy

 

INTEC Management Limited aims to adopt the highest standards of safety.  The directors recognise that health and safety is an integral part of good business practice and accept a prime duty to safeguard the health and safety of all employees at work, and others affected by our activities or visiting our premises.

 

In the pursuit of this aim the directors seek to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable: 

  • the provision and maintenance of safe healthy working conditions, safe plant and equipment; and safe systems of work;
  • the clear definition of responsibilities of management and employees at all levels;
  • the provision of appropriate health and safety information, instruction, training and supervision;
  • the provision and maintenance of effective systems of communication on health and safety information, instruction, training and supervision;
  • regular adequate opportunities for consultation with all employees on health and safety matters;
  • the adequate consideration of health and safety risks arising out of our design, project management and construction activities;
  • co-operation with other organisations in respect of health and safety management.

The company is committed to continually improving health and safety performance.  The directors believe that our employees are our most important asset and that the achievement of a high standard of health and safety is the best means of ensuring their well-being and that of the company.

 

The directors aim to pursue a programme of progressive improvement in the health and safety performance of the company, recognising that the requirements of health and safety legislation sets only the minimum standards to be achieved.  The directors recognise that the successful management of health and safety is the key to achieving its aims.  In pursuit of these aims the directors are committed to providing, as far as is reasonably practicable, suitable financial and physical resources.

 

The company have appointed a competent health and safety support team to provide authoritative, independent advice and support, to assist in providing information and training; and to assist in promoting a safe and healthy culture.

 

A director is appointed to have overall responsibility for the implementation of the company's health and safety policy.

 

Safety is recognised as a prime line management responsibility of all managers and supervisory staff.  Line managers are charged with supporting and implementing the company's health and safety policy and with promoting a general awareness of health and safety issues.

 


The company's health and safety policy is regularly reviewed to take account of changes in legislation, accident prevention techniques, recognised health and safety guidance and best practice or the company's structure and management systems.
