 INTEC have recently been appointed on a framework to facilitate and support site services projects. This agreement covers Project Management, Quantity Surveying and Contract advice and Planning Supervisor Services. Astrium have a number of sites across the UK where they design and assemble satellites for both the military and the commercial space industry. In addition to the administration and design offices, these facilities include some of Europe's largest clean room facilities and test chambers. An ageing estate is continually requiring maintenance and facilities are constantly being expanded to accommodate new products. Recent projects include feasibility studies in to the relocation of shaker simulators, building extensions to include faraday cage test cells, life risk assessment surveys for the entire estate in Portsmouth and accommodation conversion from clean room to engineering department, whilst the surrounding facilities remain in operation.
