 INTEC's role was to provide a Planning Supervisor Service and CDM support but as the works progressed this expanded to include general project management advice and engineering assistance with verification of site anchorage performance.
Exposed Headlands surrounded by steep cliffs and 60 miles by single track roads from any ferry, harbour or airport. Each installation comprises pairs of three different types of Granger HF and UHF antenna suitable for transmission and reception. Due to the extreme winter weather conditions it was necessary for the works to be undertaken during the late spring and summer weather windows to avoid the periods of short daylight, low temperatures, high winds and sea spray breaking over the sites.
