 INTEC were appointed the Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors for the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund on a major project at their care facility in Rustington, West Sussex.
The project involved the phased demolition of the existing facility and the construction of a care home and sheltered housing with 100 en-suite rooms and 44 flats valued at £11 million.
INTEC managed all phases of the project from engagement of town planners, selection of designers via a design competition, competitive tendering from contractors and acting as Employer's Agent throughout the works and fit-out.
Detailed planning permission was received in August 2002. At this time the client reviewed his business needs and the project was cancelled. |
