As a principle telecommunication mast operator in the UK, Crown Castle identified that their extensive program of facility upgrades should deploy solutions that liberated the maximum space for third party operators.
INTEC Management was successfully appointed to the role of overall project management in January 2000. Encompassed in this wide ranging brief was co-ordination with new site sharer, site survey, planning application, lease negotiation, detailed structural design, REC construction, tender negotiation and finally construction management. As for many others of our clients, INTEC also acted as planning supervisor under CDM regulations.
In January 2001 Crown Castle appointed INTEC as design consultant to the BT Reach project in Southern England. The project involved site survey and planning application for third party optimisation at 100+ local switching and main telephone exchange buildings.
